The Mile Long Barracks
The Mile Long Barracks is a three story concrete building where 8000 elite American soldiers stay. The headquarters of Gen. Douglas MacArthur was also located at this building. From its name, you will already know that this barracks is a long one, but not really a mile long, just 1,520 ft. or ¼ of a mile, and longest barracks during World War II. It is a hurricane-proof shelter. Through the years and because of the war, the famous Mile Long Barracks is now just remains.
