About Corregidor

The name of Corregidor comes from the word Corregir, a Spanish word which means “to correct” in English.

Corregidor is a small rocky island where Filipino soldiers displayed courage in fighting for our country’s freedom. But now, Corregidor is already a tourist spot to be visited. At Correigidor, you can see the remains and ruins of the things that they used and the places where they stayed. There are also museums where there are pictures that show the surroundings during the war. With the help of some transport group working for Corregidor, you can reach the “Fortress of Courage”.
